Eyesore of the Month
Somebody reminded me recently how good Kunstler is on issues relating to community and architecture. He has a great website, well worth a visit. Part of the site is called “Eyesore of the Month“. This is what he had to say about this month’s abomination:
“Tattooing has traditionally been a marginal activity among civilized people, the calling card of cannibals, sailors, and whores. The appropriate place for it is on the margins, in the back alleys, the skid rows. The mainstreaming of tattoos (on main street) is a harbinger of social dysfunction.”
He’s cranky, he’s funny .. and he’s probably right.
