I don’t know why it takes a British MP to state the bloody obvious, but thank God, for common sense and straight talk, the kind we never seem to get in this country. Although in fact I think “Glen Beck, you are an idiot,” may have been just as apt:
“Glenn Beck, you are a bigot. You bring shame to your country, not because you lack balance, but because you are an unthinking buffoon. Rupert Murdoch tolerates you because you are his useful idiot. He uses you to get a foothold in the doors of the powerful. Like his phone-hacking journalists and his pugnacious leader-writers in Australia, you are expendable. Let us hope he disposes of your nasty brand of intolerance sooner rather than later.”
Then there’s this lovely little flashback, from the pink-faced halfwit himself:
“They [insert Democratic object of fear and suspicion here] believe in communism. They believe and have called for a revolution. You’re going to have to shoot them in the head. But warning, they may shoot you.”
But there’s really no way any of this kind of talk has any consequences. It’s just talk, right? I mean what’s wrong with that?
